Bringing in Balance.
My Approach
I can think of no greater honor than to support the courageous desire to live a full life of meaning and passion, in a way that brings light and magic not only to our own lives but to the world around us.
My approach is to hold each individual with compassion and gentleness so that their journey towards wholeness can be one of safety and wonder. My role is to provide the container through which each person can experience a true and deep integration of their physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual aspects of their authentic self.
My Background
I am a Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist with a Master’s degree in Creative Arts Therapy. For the past 40 years, my professional work has focused on developing and implementing educational and therapeutic programs in the arts to reaffirm our common humanity and heal deep divisions in our society.
My studies in Sacred Anatomy Energy Medicine (SAEM) began over a decade ago as an apprentice under Desda Zuckerman. To this day, with her brilliant and inspired guidance and through the study of this profound work, I continue to sharpen and deepen my ability to support individuals in their desire to heal the unique needs of their own soul and provide partnership in their personal journey for health and well-being.
I am a certified teacher of the SAEM foundational class, The Edge Practice, which teaches the core principles as a daily practice. I have also co-facilitated SAEM trainings with Desda, The Nine Levels of Sensing and 13 Gateways to the Soul.
In addition to my private practice, I work as an on-call arts therapist, for the University of California’s San Francisco’s in-patient psychiatric facility, and have had a committed meditation and spiritual practice for several decades.
“Lorin taught me how push less and allow more. To tap into a deeper and truer wisdom that brought more joy to work, my family and my outlook on what life could be like. The constant undercurrent of anxiety is gone, replaced by a grounded sense of knowing who I am, what matters to me and, most of all, that I don’t have to do everything myself.”
